Answer: We bought our first home that way… no problem.
A few negatives though. If you are looking for a used home some realtors advise the seller against offering it either FHA or VA. It’s more of a hassle and costs the seller more so it might cut down on the properties you might be interested in purchasing.
If you’re looking for a new home or used home FHA/VA has a requirement which requires gutters all around the house. I’m guessing that the buyer would have to pay for this as an “extra”. Most builders only put gutters where there is an “as needed” basis.
