Answer: I am a stay at home Mom with a one year old and a four year old. I think if you evaluated how much money you spend on child care, lunches work wardrobe etc. you may not be bringing in as much income as you thought. Obviously you have access to a computer so I would urge you to use Quicken or something similar to track your finances. Also I have found the book “Personal Finance for Dummies” very helpful. At the risk of sounding preachy I think staying at home with your children is worth giving up almost anything. They will only be children once. I am sure if you told your two year old she would not have as many toys or dinners out -but she would be staying home with you, she would be overjoyed.
